Helping others reach their goals brings me a sense of purpose and a great joy in my life. I teach and practice CrossFit everyday and am currently prepping to become a new mom with my Husband William. Richie Lancaster

Hi! My name is Richie  and I am co-founder and co-owner of CrossFit Weaverville. Before being a co-owner of the gym, I was a member of a local box in AVL. I have been a member in the CrossFit community for 10 years. I enjoy working out and seeing others in the community workout. I am currently a CrossFit Level 2 trainer. Many years ago, I was introduced to the CrossFit community and learned very quickly that just working out in a regular gym with only weights and a treadmill was not for me. CrossFit has strengthened me not only physically but mentally and spiritually as well. I enjoy training our members everyday and get excited to see that new face come through the door to do their first CrossFit workout. I strive everyday to make myself a better, healthier and stronger person. I believe that each person working out should receive encouragement and motivation because we are all in this together. I also believe we should motivate and encourage people in the community to work out each day no matter if they are a member of another gym or not a member anywhere at all. We are one big family and are excited to be serving each member. I have seen CrossFit change so many lives including myself. I want to encourage each one of you to work hard every day to make yourself better. We would love to see you be part of our gym family. Come check us out and let us take care of your CrossFit needs. We hope to see you soon in the world of CrossFit.

Coach

Logan Jackson

Hey I’m Logan! I’m a Weaverville native and proud of it. I have spent over 10 years in competitive gymnastics competing in the Southeast Region. After graduating from North
Buncombe High School, I transitioned to CrossFit in 2019. I loved it from my first day! What I love most about this sport is that it is meant for everyone, and it is accepting of everyone. All of the workouts are modifiable to each person’s capability. Everyone, no matter what level of fifitness, can do CrossFit.  We’re a family here, and we all are here to not only improve ourselves, but to help improve our fellow athletes. To motivate, encourage, and support each other through
the workouts is our top priority. That’s why I love CrossFit. If you feel like you need a place with a strong, encouraging community, then definitely come by and see us. We’d love to have you join our family.

Coach

Tony Gunduz

Hi! My name is Tony, and I was born in Istanbul, Turkey, raised in south FL, and moved to Alexander, NC seven years ago with my wife Jessica where we have a farm.  I got into
CrossFit, 5 years ago. I used it to get back into fitness after overindulging on WNC food and brews. My fitness journey ventured into coaching after asking too many questions
out of my own curiosities about how to get my body into being able to do things I never imagined I could with it.  Sharing this knowledge has led me to seeing my friends, family and gym move better, be stronger which is a gift that keeps on giving. Come in and see us. PS the not smiling is a cultural thing and my poker face is terrible!

Physical Therapist | Coach

Angel Trail

Hi my name is Angel! I am a physical therapist and CrossFit Level 1 trainer. I coach the age 50+ CrossFit program, LifeLong Strong, and I own the physical therapy business at the gym. My passions are helping people with injuries, teaching movement, and healthy aging.

I started CrossFit in 2009 and got hooked right away.  Not only was it really fun, but I also felt stronger and more powerful than I ever had during my previous training in gymnastics, martial arts and dance. It also really helped my chronic back pain. It was funny because at the time all the physical therapists I knew thought CrossFit was dangerous and bad for your body, but I felt better than I ever had. Now there’s a lot of evidence of how effective high intensity functional training is with risks of injury similar to any other sport. Whether you are a member yet or not, please feel free to reach out to me with questions about injuries and injury prevention. I’m here to help!
